Horse Race Photos - Just for fun

Since I've shared so many blurry photos I thought I would share a few taken at a fast shutter speed 1600-2500. No C&C needed but I thought a few people might appreciate seeing the intensity of the horse races...

I don't like this image likely because of the colour but I do love the profile of this jockey and his gorgeous horse...

I'm not sure what I did to make the horse's eye look like evil incarnate...

The first horse looks a wee bit tired..





And the reason I've been working so hard to blur away the backgrounds... But the horses and jockeys are beautiful indeed!

Hi Christina,

I'm going to be honest as always, they do not work for me half as much as the panned shots

You had the same bad lighting conditions to contend with for most as I had to put up with whilst taking my car shots. For info I noted yesterday after having undertaken another session my metering was set to lock at the half press of the shutter hence was not updating through my 60 degree pan where lighting altered a great deal.

And I'm very delighted to hear that! I like the panned images better too, and that means that my panning exercise was worth the effort and the headaches.

Yes, the lighting wasn't great and that is something I'm always trying to keep first and foremost in my mind.
