    Fishing in the town....

Curious sillouette of a fisherman, taken a while ago here, at the Douro river:

Beautiful Rui, just beautiful. This is a complex shot but the structure of the composition leads the eye superbly

    Thank you, Steve.
Let me add a little history: this guy caught my attention because he stood for almost an hour. I was starting to believe he was a new statue erected in honor of the fishermen. I decided to get my camera and tripod out and took this picture. Five seconds later, the man finally got up to hoist a respectable fish...

    Hi Rui,

I do like the composition - except for the large, almost featureless area on the opposite bank; which due to its distance is mid-grey, I guess it is a large unlit park or similar. Unfortunately, I can't suggest a PP way to deal with it. I can see some merit in having some dark 'over there' to counter balance the nearside, but for me, it is just too large an area too centrally placed.

From your added history, it seems that even in night landscapes, timing is everything.

I like the white balance, it resembles my recollection of a cityscape by night when flying.

    Best regards,

    Thanks for your comment.
Actually, I do not like that part of the image too. I´ve tried many possible adjustments but have always ended up with unsatisfactory results. Therefore, I decided to leave it like shot, only adding a bit more of contrast
