Re: Those Crazy Southerners
I'm not sure about the Morris Dancers, Steve. Possibly a slow shutter speed but probably you used too shallow a depth of field to give a bit of distance from the crowd and the front dancer has come just a little bit in front of the focus point.
These fast action shots are always difficult to decide what settings to use.
I would suggest that the girls night out just needs a little bit of selective brightness. I think that I might try adding a little adjustment on a layer and mask then slightly reduce the level on the right side.
But it does need a bit of light to dark range in order to give plenty of apparent depth so I wouldn't do a great deal more with it. Too bright will lose the atmosphere.
And talking about brightness, I think you have captured the Horseguard exposure perfectly. And that was obviously a difficult one.

Re: Those Crazy Southerners
I don't know what happened to make the demo difficult; seperation caused by dispersion, a dull look ect. Actually I took my time with the horseguard, I was there at least fifteen minutes waiting.
More effort done on the Horseguard. Cheers Geoff
