Willie or Jiro is fine by me.

    Roots in Shade.

I got interested on the way these roots converge and the play of light and shadows on them so I took a shot.

I dunno, Willie...but me thinks there is too much going on to focus on any one item. The shadow of the limbs tend to counter-oppose the direction of the trunk, which by itself would be a nice juxtaposition of elements, but toss in the scattering of leaves, the patterns of lights and darks and to my eye, it all starts to become more jumbled than cohesive.

I did a play in Silver Efex to see what it might look like as a B&W...still dunno but I do think it helps to emphasize all the tonal varities competing for my eye's attention.

Thanks, Chris. I tried it in B&W and I like it, too. However, I tend to lose that subtle color of the sun's rays that I want to preserve here so I kept it in color. Actually, what really got me interested to take a shot on this is that small play of light compared to the movement of the roots of the tree. I guess the subject is really quite busy.

It's basically almost the same as what I did, Chris. Thanks.
