    Canon 40D ISO problem

    Hi,

From 2-3 days ago, the ISO setting on my 40D is not accepting values small then 200.
From "Auto" goes directly to ISO 200, and all the rest of ISO values are ok, like in user manual.
I've try to "restore camera settings", clear all user preferences, but no hope.
It is not a big issue, I know, but is annoying me. Any ideeas ?

    Thanks,
    Leo

Are you in auto ISO mode?

    Hi John,

Nope, I'm not in auto ISO. I've made several pictures last weekend in auto ISO mode, and I was not happy with the results. This is how I found it. Comming back to ISO 100 is not possible. From Auto jump directly to ISO 200, no matter of what "priority" I choose (aperture, shutter, manual..)

Try it in portrait mode and see what ISO setting is chosen.

    Thanks John and Colin

How the Highlight Tone Priority get enabled .... Canon knows ....and is not mentioned in manual ..
(as my software developers coleagues are telling me .."it's not a bug, it's a feature")
    Anyway ..."case sloved"
    Thanks again,
    Leo
