    Nice shot Jiro

The subject matter is one that makes me think that I won't be interested in the image but I have found myself captivated by it for several minutes.

I like the colour and sharpness of the sprinkler head against the rest of the background.

    Cheers

I like that. It's a good documentary shot. It tells a story of the place.

Thanks, Steve. I was intrigued by the name and color of the sprinkler so I thought "why not take one picture and do something with it?" Thanks for viewing and for the nice comment.

Thanks a lot, Donald. I also find it interesting due to the metal plate that describes the element. Usually, I only see the head of the sprinkler without any label but this one does. This must be an old sprinkler system. Thanks for viewing.

Willie, as with the alamo guards, I like the image, but the wall just looks odd to me? That's what I find myself looking at - the wall. Maybe that's just due to the web compression or some sharpening again? Maybe I'm just losing it???? Maybe I just need to get back to work??????? How can I see it full res/size?

    Thanks

I love the colors in the wall, it gives more reason for the sprinkler head color to pop out. And nice PP too.

    hi Jiro,

Besides that I really like this shot I wonder whether the vignetting is a bit too strong. Is the vignetting done in post processing? Especially the top left corner is very dark.

I'm really impressed by how well you capture 'the ordinary'. Keep it up!

I added some post-vignette on the image, Jeroen. I'll lessen it a bit and post another edit later. Thanks.

I think that shot would be quite nicely represented with a square crop, but then, I like square cropping.

That sounds like a good idea, Chris. I'll also try that later. Thanks!

    Hey Jiro
I'm with Steve. I like the way you have the outlets so sharp and crisp against the lovely rough texture of the bricks. And in IMHO you have got the vignetting just right. I like it.

Nice work Jiro. It's all been said and I have to agree....I like the way you capture the "ordinary" yet make it worth looking at......a couple times. Would not change a thing myself.

I like this Willie - well taken and well edited. Great texture in the brickwork and and old metal sign and I like the silver and blue colour of the valves, which makes them stand out,.
