    This way to

This hand was carved by one of the local Artists as a way marker to the Ardfern arts festival
2 years ago. It has become the norm when giving directions to Ardfern to say drive to the hand and follow the direction it points.

    This way to

Now for some fun can anyone post on the subject of transport. the next poster gets to choose the next subject.

    Re: This way to

Does it have to be a jet?

Messed up a bit on this photo. Clipped the right wing and stopped the propellor so I had to do a bit of rebuilding. Not sure that I've got it exact yet.

They fly faster than some jets, so close enough!

PS: Do you need some help getting these to display inline?

Two Wheels .. entrance to the reserve wherein is found "the Billabong" of Waltzing Matilda fame.
I first passed these wheels in 1960.. at that time, all spokes on both wheels were intact.
They haven't been removed by termites!

    Re: This way to

    Hi Chris,

A touch of irony, as my photo was taken about 50 yards from many ducks!

Anyway, I know a good way to fix this problem ... (I'm sure I said ducks in my post!) ...

thats a gorgeous bit of water rrox, and especially pleased to see it taken at a speed so it still looks like water not spilt milk.

Hmmm ... I s'pose if a Spitfire (??) is "close enough" to a jet plane......
This great action shot fits the bill for marine life.
I notice you've stopped the water as well; I do feel too much is made of arranging a "dreamy"look for water.

    Where to next?

Yes it is (see post #3), and appropriately enough, originally a photo reconnaissance version!

Part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, it's about 2/3s down this page.

I just love the sound of these things (well, technically the Merlin engine), they give me goose bumps everytime I hear them, even on TV if the sound HiQ enough to get the bass out.

Other pics are good too; esp. ducks, waterfall and surfer!

    Cheers,

    Re: This way to

It's becoming difficult to keep up with the traffic in here! A good buzz, just the same.

RE #16 I like the shadow effect on the path Chris .. might even to make the subject with contrast adjustment, if that's the correct language

#17 Lovely shot of this alert animal .. the lighting's perfect, isn't it?

#18 Sorry, the lizard (?) looks a little damp but it't really difficult to get a good exposure/composition in aquariums
