Peter
If you go here and read what is said about posting images and then compare it to what you did, you should be able to diagnose the problem. If not, then please set out , step-by-step, in a reply to teh message, what you did to post your image and we'll take it from there.

Re: Praying Mantis
Don't worry about the initial lack of a photo, Peter. Many of us also had problems with our first post.

Re: Praying Mantis
Thanks, Donald, for the link. I think I did not copy the IMG code & paste it here.
Geoff, Thanks for your words of encouragement.

Re: Praying Mantis
Nice shot, Peter. I like the way you were able to totally blur out the background. Makes it easier for me to focus my attention on the mantis itself. A very nice work indeed.

Re: Praying Mantis
Beautiful shot of one of the most amazing of insects! The DOF is perfect, which is a real trick with such a long bug.

Thanks, Jiro, Jeff, Dave & Frankie for your kind words. Glad that you like it. The challenge when taking this shot was the PM's continuous movement.

Re: Praying Mantis
Nice shot but way out of my range of expertise -which is pretty limited. It is not the shots you guys make that amaze me so much, it is that you find these little guys just hanging about. I think I've seen three in my lifetime.
