    I seems to me, Andy, that you have attempted a very difficult shot there and, not surprisingly, have run into some 'depth of field' problems which is limiting your area of sharp focus.

    If you are new to photography I would suggest reading some of the CinC tutorials; starting with this one about depth of field https://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tu...h-of-field.htm

    But very basically, for something like your scene I would suggest a good tripod and a small aperture (say F 14 or F 16).

    If you can supply some more information about your equipment and the settings used on this image we will be able to give more specific advice.
