    Portrait touch ups??

    Portrait touch ups??

Here is a photo of my teenage son and my mother in law's dog which has tried to kick me out of my favourite chair since he arrived a week ago.

The skin was touched up using some spot healing, applying a blur to a layer mask and then changing the opacity of the layer to bring back some texture. This works well for a soft female complexion, but what sort of tricks can I use on males to get rid of some blemishes without having them look like porcelain dolls.

Willie or Jiro is fine by me.

Add some random gaussian noise on the area of the retouched skin. Usually between 0.2 - 0.7 Radius works fine. Put this on a new layer so you can further dial in the desired effect. Hope this helps.

Hmmm. Good tip. I was wondering the same thing particularly with acne and teenagers.
