I did not have a bunch of time to make the adjustments that I should have being at work, but caught a few. A bit noisey but I got my first Humming birds. =} C&C welcome.

Thanks guys, they are a challenge with all the fast twitching. I know the first shot and the other like are not to great but I had to show him scratching himself. lol

Brad I used a sony 4.5-5.6 75-300. I was able to get within 6ft of the little buggers.

Thanks for the numbers. I tried to get some shots of some lil birds eating at my birdfeeders, I was surprised and disappointed with my 200mm lense at about 20 ft.....they're still little birds.

    Good job on these.

Great job paul, but watch it, you'll become addicted to these little guys. Can't wait till they return in the spring.

Thanks Katy and Steve, I have no doubt as I was already on the lookout for them today everytime I heard a cherp. lol

Debbie, be patient it will happen. Although it is tuff with a shorter lens as small birds seem to be so skiddish. I would not mind getting a little longer range lens for the birds myself.

We do not have hummngbirds in Australia so I love to see them. I have the big overseas trip this year to Gallapogos and Costa Rica so hoping to see some there.
