Did you put salt on the lens?
Image of the Year!!!
Love it, Steve!
Brilliant! Absolutely gorgeous.
Yes, that is a close-up.
Oddly enough, wild deer in many areas are losing their fear of humans. Several years ago, my nephew was deer hunting, and fell asleep under a tree. He was awakened by a doe, tugging on the pants leg of his jeans. He shooed the doe away, only to be reawakened a few minutes later by the same doe, again tugging on his pants leg, so he shooed it away again. Then the doe came back a third time, and refused to back away more than a few feet, even after he waved his arms and yelled at it, so he finally picked up his shotgun and shot it (it was doe season, so it was perfectly legal).
When he told me this story, I asked him "You call that hunting?". He answered "Well, I didn't want to kill her, but she just wouldn't leave me alone!"
True story, believe it or not, so shots like this may become more common... even during hunting season.
