Canon G12 shutter lag?
I'm thinking of getting a G12 but am concerned about shutter lag and can't find any info in reviews (other than one which said it isn't bad - whatever that means). Does anyone know how it would compare with my 40D? Any other info, good or bad also appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Canon G12 shutter lag?
Don't actually have the G12 but bought my wife a G9 as she was fed up getting the ear or back of head when taking shots of our grandchildren. Hit rate ahs gone up dramtically, obviously not quite up to 40D standard but pretty good. I would assume the G12 would be as good if not better.

Re: Canon G12 shutter lag?
Thanks for the replies. I think it's going to have to be a trip to the shops to try one. I like the features of the G12 but shutter lag is my pet hate about cameras and don't want to find, should I buy one, that I don't use it because it frustrates me waiting for it to actually take the shot.
