    Red Tailed Hawk

Red tailed hawk from this morning. Flew off and turned right in front of me. Jan 4 at the Bison Range. Hard to follow at close range with my 400mm L.

    Very impressive, once again.

Are both just a bit soft, or is that a look you deliberately went for? On#1, the branches and leaves look sharp, but does the bird seem just a bit soft?

The bird in flight is majestic. You're very lucky to have been in the position to capture this ... and very skilful in having been able to do so.

Very good. Just a little soft, but keepers regardless.

    Dave,

Very nice. They are hard to to shoot as they are always on alert. They do look a little soft but perfectly acceptable. Nicely done.

Ah, nice one. What great feathers -- the ones I see are often pretty scraggly, for some reason.
