Tradescantia a.k.a. Spiderwort
This is a closeup of a white tradescantia flower. The "hair" in the centre of the flower is barely visible to the naked eye as the flower is only approximately 2 cm in diameter. So far, I have adjusted the white balance, upped the contrast slightly and added a touch of clarity.
Comments and suggestions are always welcomed.

Andre, an interesting flower. - I don't believe I have seen one before.
I notice there is a square shaped textured area on the left petal behind the anther/stamen. I looks somewhat out of place when compared to the texture elsewhere on the petals. I wonder if it might be smoothed by a localized reduction in contrast/texture?

Looks good. Real life flower photos are so difficult, particularly white subjects.
I wonder if it would have been possible to show the whole flower instead of cropping so close to the top and bottom?

I like it. You have managed to maintain good detail in the white petals, which is hard to do. I agree with Geoff that the cropping is tight.

Re: Tradescantia a.k.a. Spiderwort
Thank you Len, Geoff and Dan,
These flowers are interesting and so is their behaviour. There is a cluster of maybe 20 or 30 buds at the end of a long stalk. One, sometimes two, of these buds will open at dawn. When fully opened the petals are flat and the centre is fully exposed. Then the process reverse and the flower start to close. I took the photo around 9am which is about 4 hours after sunrise at this time of the year and you can see that the petals have already started to curl inward. By noon, the bud was completely closed. Each plant has about a dozen of these stalks. So You get about twelve flowers every day for close to a month.
I agree that the crop is tight but I wanted to emphasize the fine beady structure of the hair surrounding the stamen and pistil. I will post the full flower which also makes an interesting photo and also an even tighter crop of the left side of the flower to achieve my original intent.

Here are the two versions. Neither one has been processed except for cropping.

Andre, this genre is not my forte and I am sure other members will comment. Although the delicate hairs are most interesting, I prefer the image showing both flowers.......
