Hoar Frost
Here is a type of picture that appeal to me but don't seem to attract much buy in from anybody else.

I might use that one to experiment with the Point colour in Lightroom.
Comments are always welcomed.

Re: Hoar Frost
Hi Andre, hoar frosted trees are certainly a subject I also find appealing and actively seek them out in the winter months. I was wondering about the boxes just inside the tree line. Perhaps they could be cloned out?

Re: Hoar Frost
I like it.
I'm in general not a fan of boosting saturation. However, if this were mine, I would fiddle with it to see if I could increase color contrast without making it seem unnatural or garish. You have both oranges and greens to work with.
Although many people like to alter the primaries in the Lightroom Calibration panel, I find it only helps me in some cases, but it's worth playing with because it can increase color contrasts without boosting saturation per se. Beyond that, I've largely abandoned the individual sliders in the Color Mixer panel in favor of point color, which is more controllable.

Re: Hoar Frost
Thanks Len,
The "boxes" are actually more stone ruins similar to the one behind the middle light post and at the far right. I don't find them distracting as they are quite dark and in he shade. I did remove about two dozen white pickets that were scattered throughout the hill side. This picture is a view of the east side of Parliament Hill where the Rideau canal joins the Ottawa river.

Re: Hoar Frost
Thanks Dan,
Now that you have introduced me to Lightroom's point colour, I think that it will replace Photoshop's Selective colours in my workflow.
