Frédéric Gate - Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site
The Frederic Gate is named after the French Royal Minister of the Navy and Colonies. This ornate gate at the Fortress of Louisbourg on Cape Breton Island, Canada was built in 1742 and is where orders from the King would arrive. Louisbourg is a National Historic Site.
