Forrest Cabin

This is my second home—a cabin in the forest near the Suwannee River.
It’s built on stilts due to periodic river flooding, which has occurred twice in the past three years, along with three direct hurricane hits.

Prior to that, hurricanes were rare in this part of northern Florida. Local residents tell me that years ago, a flood reached the roofline, and the cabin had to be rebuilt.

It looks like a very nice place to relax and enjoy life. Effective blue hour capture. At first I thought that opening up the shadows would help but it does not.

Thank you for commenting, Andre. I call the cabin Camp Freedom because you can do whatever you want, no rules with one small exception. No shooting guns off the porch after 10 pm.
