Out of curiosity, how did you take this shot. The depth of field is surprisingly narrow for this kind of photo. The out of focus foreground is also very unusual for you. I like the concept but the execution seems odd.

P.S. There are weird artifacts on the left handrail near the first window.

Yes, in the past, especially when doing environmental portraits, I would use a very narrow depth of field in my work.

In most landscape / urban landscapes I did in my travel photography, I went with a very large depth of field. The same can be said for my still life work.

I recently acquired the Fujinon f/1.7 80mm lens. On medium format, that gives the depth of field that is equivalent to f/1.3 in full frame. That is what I used here, so I have some reasonable softness in the foreground and background. I plan to use this approach on some of my work, going forward.

The "artifacts" are in fact red dots on the glass barriers leading down to the jetways, so are actually in the scene. If you zoom in you can see them quite clearly. I guess I could remove them and a few other distracting elements.

It is always good to explore new avenues.
I had missed the dots completely. These are the artifacts that I was talking about.

Poor selection on my part (working on a laptop with a small screen doesn't help).

    Updated version here.

It happens to the best of us. It was a good move to get rid of the red dots at the same time.
