Fish Creek Autumn

Autumn colours captured along Fish Creek. Aspen, cottonwood and wolf willow. A brief autumn this year, foliage was stripped by an early storm.
Although health issues continue to be an impediment, I managed to get out with camera and tripod for the first time in over a year.

Very glad to see you were able to get out and about.

This is a very striking scene and a good composition.

I do have one suggestion for you, but it's a matter of taste. I find the highly saturated yellows to be a bit too much, and they swamp the greens. I tried a very quick and dirty edit to see what would happen if saturation were dialed down a bit and the greens and yellows separated more. I'm not on a calibrated monitor, so these suggestions might be nonsense. Using Camera Raw, I pulled both greens and yellows aware from the yellow end and dropped overall saturation a little bit. That yielded the version below, which isn't a polished product but might be enough to decide whether something in that direction works for your taste.

I struggled with this a bit with the two photos I posted yesterday. The colors were extremely intense in one of the shots, and tonality adjustments made them more intense, so I decided to drop the saturation in one of them.

Although I did reduce the saturation in the image your suggestion has merit. I will play with this a little further.
