We spent around an hour at a cranberry farm in St Louis de Blanford, Quebec, at harvest time.

The cranberries are an evergreen plant that grows in sandy soil. The harvest process is unique in that the field is flooded and the cranberries are swept from the plants using powerful brushing machines. As they have air pockets, they float. The cranberries are corraled using booms and are pumped into trucks.

The conditions were not ideal for photography, but I liked the many layers in the scene.
