    Shades of Autumn

Taken a few years ago in an autumn when colours were, as I recall particularly vibrant.
A grove of aspen, cottonwood and wolf willow on a grass lands hillside.
    C&C welcome.....

A lovely image, Len. I think it could use some adjustments to bring out the vibrancy you witnessed more effectively.

    Re: Shades of Autumn

Len, I tried playing around with the colours in this photograph, but the results I got were far from what I wanted, as I still don’t master the tools as I’d like. In the end, I gave up sharing the experiments and various attempts I made.

These settings, which I believe are made up of poplar trees, are truly beautiful and, once again, remind me of images by Guy Tal, who, in my opinion, manipulates colours particularly effectively and naturally, without resorting to major artificiality.

Anyway, your shot is great !

Hi Antonio, thanks for taking the time to comment. Over saturated colours are often an issue with images of autumn foliage and I tend to err on the side of less. You are right Antonio, the trees in the image are of the poplar family. Orange and yellow colours dominate in the autumn. We do not see much in the way of reds.
I am familiar with Guy Tal's work. The image you have shown is I believe taken in Kolob Canyon Utah. A spectacular area in the autumn......
