Of the roughly 350 amphitheatres that the Romans built, this one was #6 in terms of size, These are the "expensive" seats. Entry to the area was free, but seating was by social status, with the most important people in the front row and the cheap seats (not shown here) were high up and away from the action. This one is the one in Pula, Croatia.
I liked the way the harsh mid-morning light lit up parts of the seats.
