I've always strived for a hidden or double meaning when choosing titles for my images; a "story within the story".
It had been a whilst since I'd picked up a camera and created something new - but I "forced" myself to do it to try to get back into the habit again.
I ended up at a location by the sea in an area where I sometimes worked in years gone by. Venus was visible in the night sky, and I saw that it would soon pass over a maritime navigation light.
With a small aperture to give a starbust effect on the light-source, I opened the shutter for, I think, 8 minutes.
Space exploration has always been near and dear to my heart; to me, the light source & it's reflection reminds me of a rocket lifting off - and the arc of Venus reminds me of the International Space Station passing overhead. The other arc in the sky is, I believe, Mars; another topic of frequent discussion in space circles.
1 Photo, 1 "rocket", 3 planets. It'll do for starters. Hard to believe that that was over two years ago. Time moves so quickly, or so it seems.
