    Spruce Snags, Hydrothermal Steam

Captured on a cold autumn morning in Yellowstone NP.
Spruce snags partly obscured by steam rising from a hydrothermal pond.
    C&C welcome........

Looks OK. I suppose you could try slightly darkening the blacks but it depends on what sort of effect you are after.

Thanks to Bill and Geoff for their comments. Yes, it was a chilly morning, just a few degrees above zero as I remember. Geoff, I played with the blacks and did darken the foremost tree trunks a little. I wanted to keep a softer "feel" to the image so did not push this too much.....

Hi Len - I like this image it is moving in the direction of minimalism. You have used a lovely muted colour palette and the image itself, while busy, is very effective. The background is muted by the atmospheric haze and that really sets the mood.

    Well done!

Manfred, I appreciate your positive input regarding this image.
I had a difficult chemo session today and your kind words provided a needed boost.
    Thanks again.

Chemo is no fun at all and is unfortunately part of the process. I wish you a speedy recovery from the treatment. How many more are you going to have?

Manfred, cheers for that. All that I have scheduled at this time is a consultation with the oncologist in early September and a further chemo mid September.
I also wish you a speedy recovery from your nerve pain issues.
    Thanks again.......
