Helpful Posts: Hello to all, could anyone relieve my confusion concerning a date code on the Canon EF 70-200 f4 L IS USM Lens.
I believe this lens was released in 2006, the date code on it seems to be UD 0323 which reads on my code list March 1989.
I enclose a picture of the date code on the lens.
Would be most grateful for any enlightenment.

For what it's worth, Canon Classic website shows March 1963 or 1973 or 1983 for code UD0323. The web site the-digital-picture.com shows the date as March 2006 which is probably more reliable.

Thank you very much for your reply. I have since discovered that the date codes restarted again at A in 2012.
That would make UD0323 March 2015.
