A stunted ponderosa pine rooted in a crack on an expanse of fissured and fractured Navajo sandstone.
It is amazing how plants and trees can take root and survive in such an environment.

I agree with Geoff. I would also consider adding a touch of contrast.

I agree with Andre and Geoff. I think this has a lot of potential, but it needs tweaking. The way it is now is out of balance--too much negative space below the tree. In addition to contrast, I would add texture. The sandstone would be much more interesting that way.
