Les, observing this first image, the delicacy of the butterfly with such light tones almost merges with the whiteness of the small flowers where it rests.
The impressive sharpness of the capture brings to life every detail, from the textures of the butterfly's wings to the tiny pistils of the flowers and the veins of the leaves.
And of these two images, my favourite is this first one, as I mentioned above, to which, in fact, my entire comment refers.

Nicely captured Les......
Hi Les,
Great captures, I'd be pleased to have taken either of those!
Well done, Dave
Are those images of the same butterfly, Les.
The second one is definitely a female Orange-tip but I can't say for sure about the first one from that angle.
Very nice captures.
I am on a little laptop now that isn't calibrated, but if the flowers are white, I think you have a color cast. This is very common when everything around a white area is green. I dropped the second one into Camera Raw and used the eyedropper on one of the petals. It changed both temperature (-19 in the blue direction) and tint (+9 in the magenta direction), which is exactly what you would expect if the petals have a yellowish green tint.
