That's a lovely shot Peter. The flowers spectacular. I wonder if you could crop (or replace) some of the blown out sky?

I always find large groups of flowers difficult but this has worked well. Although I might be tempted to remove that little bit of tree trunk on the left side.

The sky doesn't really bother me but it would be an easy task to slightly darken it using Curves, etc, on a layer mask.

Florid and cheerful field, with colourful tulips on the green grass under soft light that enhances the natural beauty of the scene, framed by trees. A simple and charming image of nature.

I agree with Geoff regarding the trunk that appears on the left.
    Cheers !

Thanks for the comments. I replaced the sky and felled that pesky tree on the left.

Worth noting that the weather was ideal for this kind of shot.... cloudy.

Although we love to walk around pretty gardens when the sun is out and the skies are blue, the harsh shadows and contrasty light are not best for photography. The clouds on a day like this one actually act like a huge softbox, diffusing the light, making it even. You end up with more detail and better colours.
