    Question about DOF Calculator

    Hello,

I have a question about the DOF calculator (https://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tu...calculator.htm) on the Cambridge site.

Is the 'Nearest Acceptable Sharpness' measured from the camera or the subject. In other words, if the distance is 0.5m, is it 0.5m from the camera or 0.5m in front of the subject. Same question for the "Furthest Acceptable Sharpness".

It is measured from the camera. Otherwise, when the link opens, the example would say "Total Depth of Field: 2368mm".

In other words "nearest to" and "furthest from" are relative to the camera.
