Welcome to CiC if I have not done so before.
I love it Bill. You know if you pull their legs off they go deaf.
It never ceases to amaze me, the ingenuity, creativity, chitzpah, moxie, whoohooness of artists...This is just great!
Bill,
This is inspired! I love it. I am in two minds whether those highlights need to be cloned out but it is such an intriguing image I am not sure it matters
Bill:
Congratulations on your achievement - getting ants into a picture is as hard as herding cats, but you've solved the problem. Very ingenious.
And a marvelous image.

Hi Rob, This was taken with the 350D, And 50mm 1.8 lens , With the screw on Close up lens kit by Hoya, The Yellow BG is a small yellow card I had , I noticed the Ants had found a dead Grasshopper and had formed the line that they do , Took about an hour to intice them to try the drop of maple syrup on the card , They were kind enough to not crowd each other around the drop , Cool Eh - Cheers Bill
Wow. How did you get them all to line up so nicely? What a great pic.
I would try it except for the fact that we currently have an invasion of the ant people in our kitchen, and I don't want to encourage them further . . .
Super glue works wonders.
Hey he's pixel peeping. Someone take that magnifying glass off him before he sets something on fire. 500 lines....I must not pixel peep, I must not pixel peep........and you can join Dave and Steve in detentionI can't work out why the lower parts of the legs are all faded (see below). What was the yellow surface around the edge?
I love it... The colors, the subject; This is a really neat image.
I love this image for the color and originality. Very cool!
Now that they have tasted the maple, they will want it even more. Sleep with one eye open!
