Nicely done. I've never tried capturing surfers myself, but I've seen several threads of people talking about how hard it is with the sun often in the wrong location or too harsh. I detect neither of those from these shots. Everything looks nicely lit. His face is properly exposed and the water is a gorgeous blue-green.

Mike - I know what you mean about harsh light in these settings. Luckily the surf was at its best that day before noon (or so those who claim to know about those things told me) so that was one problem taken care of.
