Ship arrived in Buffalo NY at Canalside, I was on the wrong side of the river; should've tried from the Fuhrmann Blvd. side as security is beefed up and can only get so close. I only had my 24-70mm lens but was able to get a few. Security rules: no umbrellas, backpacks, etc. I'm sure drones will be shot down.

I like the first few, but, with respect, for me the second to last and last ones (in the post on her first voyage) are over processed and too dark.

What happened to the ship with the original Little Rock? I looks like they reversed into a solid object or two... I would take away the steersman's licence if they did that to my ship!

I was almost late , she was scheduled to depart at 8:00AM and I wasn't going to even bother going through the metal detectors leading to the boardwalk where she was moored. I like dozens of others chose to await her travels near the lighthouse. Thanks for viewing.

This is an interesting class of ship... I would guess that you could consider them somewhat akin to the gunboats of the late 19th and early 29th Century in that they could project power just about anywhere...

Richard, what surprised me about this ship is the relatively short range and endurance ratings. But she IS designed to operate just off-shore, so will normally be close to re-supply ports. Getting on station, though, will be another matter. Re-supplying from tender ships, I presume.

It was nice having her here for 17 days, and she gained thousands of fans from among the local populace, including yours truly. An interesting fact in the final news article this morning is that the Captain was given on permanent loan a 40 piece set of Captain's silver from Little Rock I, so wherever LCS9 goes, she will carry a bit of LR I history with her.
