Helpful Posts: Brian posted a rather exotic image earlier today, and I happened to be out at a National Trust property today hunting Dragonflies. No dragons... but there was the odd architectural plant wonder to behold.... Nowhere near as exotic as Brian's garden, but pleased me greatly!
#1 Thistle (cultivated, not wild)
#2 No Dragonflies, but I did see this reflection,(almost a sillouette), of a demoiselle in a pool which took my fancy

Did I mention that my mothers side of my family came from Glasgow. I love thistles. Especially when they are as well photographed as this one is.

Hi James
I think the first image is an artichoke. I like the image but I find the petals distracting. So , I would crop the image from just below the first petal from the top to put the emphasis more on the flower and the bug, if the image was mine.
