We have a great place to shoot Sunsets here in Mandeville. Our southern border is Lake Pontchartrain and as you can see in this shot, there's a bridge that clearly separates the sky from the water. Trivia: It's the longest bridge in the world, 24 miles. :-) This is a 30 second exposure using a Hoya ND400 neutral density filter. CC welcome!

It is a beautiful sunset with lovely colors. I would crop about 1/3 of the water . IMO this would make a better composition with a bigger portion of the sky in the frame. Also the bridge would be more noticeable this way
