    Smooth and Chilly

Couldn't sleep so got up early and headed down to the coast with the dog to catch the sunrise. It was hovering around the 0°c mark but it was still a great way to start the weekend...

Hello Robin: This a lovely and pleasing image. I am a bit confused by your settings. This was taken with an iPhone at a 60 second exposure, but how would you create the silky effect without an ND filter?

I use an app called SlowShutterCam that allows you to shoot as long an exposure as you want regardless of the lighting conditions. Essentially it shoots high resolution video (12mp at 30fps in the case of the iPhone 7) and overlays the frames for the duration creating the blur. You can watch the blur being created as the pre-set exposure time runs so you can stop it if you prefer the effect or switch settings and just let it run as long as you want to stand around.
