Sam, I prefer B&W anytime. In this picture I think that colour may be a better option because I don't think you have captured enough of the shades of grey. I would like to see a colour version of this image. That is only my opinion.

I agree that there could be more shades of grey. The colour version does not have the desired mood of the B&W. It might better in other respects. I am reluctant to post it because trying to determine which is better is not what I am interested in.

Nice capture! I generally feel a landscape with a good sky and rays of sunlight will work well in black and white. This is a perfect example.

How did I miss this? Good one, Sam.

My only comment in terms of change would be to ask if it was worth bringing some more detail back in to that lower left-hand corner area?

Thanks Donald - I agree that the LHC is a little dark. It was underexposed and not much detail is there to use. But if one does not look to close then perhaps this update is a little better

Lovely image, Sam. Though I thought the first version was fine I do like the added detail in the edited version. Nicely done.

In my opinion - definitely. I think it's now a much more balanced image.

Completely agree. The additional foreground detail makes a huge difference. Great image!
