Reflecting on nature

Just one image from a trip to Wensleydale during September 2016. I've only processed this one today during a personal look back at my image library from 2016.

I had considered a square crop for this but I decided to go with this as it leaves a hint of the tree trunk in the background, more of which is visible in the reflection.

I had intended to make reference to the "Wallace and Gromitt" cheese but thought it may confuse some people. Thanks for bringing it out in the open for the wider audience Brian.

Well seen and captured, Peter. Don't you love finding those gems in the files? I agree a square crop would be too symmetrical. Though a shorter ratio with bottom copped just under the reflection and space left at top might be a consideration.

I had to do a web search as I didn't know about Scrat of the ice age, Nandakakumar. Thanks for taking time to comment . On the meaning of the word "scrat" this is one potential interpretation of it, a squirrel having a scat

Thank you Mike, I'm glad you liked the reflection, a photography friend of mine, who was sitting next to me in the hide was able to capture a full reflection of the scratching squirrel shown in my second image in this thread. Unfortunately I had a 300mm prime lens on so I missed it, my companion had a 100-400 and was able to pull back to get the full reflection.

Here's some location LINK information John. I was actually in a private location near to the area in the link I've posted. The owner of the area where I was has two hides on his land one of which has the reflection pool adjacent to it.

Great shots Peter I haven't seen a squirrel image with its reflection before either. I would crop the dark green part next to the top frame in #1 though.
