Wow! This thread is cold really I like them all Trevor. May I ask why you left #1 tilted?

Did not note the horizon line was tilted relative to the other two until I posted. Did not have the time to correct it. I have since coordinated all three versions in the files so the tilt matches. At the time of shooting it was hard to select the correct level as the granaries are tilted and the field is on a slight incline in all directions (the granaries are on the top of a small rise in the ground).

So the answer is bone idleness.

It's interesting how those of us in different parts of the world deal with such weather. You know it's coming and it comes every year. Does that make you more able to deal with it than me, were I to be parachuted in. For me, that counts as 'extreme', but for you it seems to be 'normal'.

You get used to it. Minus 2 a month ago felt cold, this morning before sunrise I walked my dog for ten minutes wearing a sleeveless down vest, scrub pants (think thin cotton pajamas) and a t shirt at minus 7. No hat, no gloves. Too much trouble to throw on the gear and I was comfortable. I could feel the cold but no big deal. A lot of people here do the same. For short trips outside you just avoid the bother of getting on the full gear. But it needs to be calm. Any wind above a very light breeze (5 kph) and the whole equation changes. Monday it will be minus 26C and 50 km winds. Will feel like minus 35C or lower and no one will be out in anything less than full coverage. You stand to lose body parts in those conditions.

And to think I am complaining to Bill about the cool 26°F here recently...getting lower sometimes but just looking of your shots here makes me feel lucky living in the Midwest instead. I will never complain of feeling cold again. -26°F !!!! I think I will stay here instead... Lovely series...I particularly like the result of #2 with the sun touching each and every hoarfrosts on the grass too. #3 is a bit too much of that already. I am glad you decided to quit at that stage...I can really feel that cold from here...

I'm about as amateur as they come but as I look more at these I like #1 the best because of the clarity. The mist doesn't do it for me The sky in #3 is beautiful.
