Not a mountain, lake or tree

Sometimes, even in a place like Yosemite, you look for something just a bit different from mountains, trees and water.

A project that I had in mind going to Yosemite and which exists as a sub-set of images is about 'People in the Park'. I haven't even started work on those yet, except ...........

    Relaxing by Tenaya Lake.

    As always, comments are welcome.

What have you done with the real Donald?

Well that was certainly a (nice) surprise.

Being really pernickety, I can see a few tiny things I'd have addressed, probably with a Clone stamp or Spot Healing tool (YMMV) and I'm talking about the foreground, background and image edges, not your model. I could demonstrate if you wish (be easier than describing).

I guess it must be 'you' though - because it:
    looks like a landscape,
    it's monochrome
    and it is square

I'm looking forward to the next one already!

    Cheers, Dave

    PS
Regarding the title; it looks like a mountain, has a tree and lake in though.

Now that's what I would call real mountains. Made me smile, great humour.

Donald... Now we know why you traveled half way across the world

A "People in the Park" theme would be quite interesting.

It's clear to me that this image was made by Donald's evil twin. He even provided a thread title indicating that there is no tree or lake, despite that both are indeed displayed in the image.

Seriously though, I like this a lot. I look forward to learning whether Dave notices the very minor issues I would address, which I'm confident he'll notice.

Also, I was using this image as an exercise in advancing to layer based editing in PS CC, so it took ages while I figured out how to do what I'd usually do mushing pixels in the "Background" (layer) in to a set of layers and masks to achieve the same thing. The masking won't be good, as I am a complete novice - I even started using the Wacom with pressure sensitive enabled.

Enough excuses, let's see what I came up with - hopefully it's the same size (and all), so alternately switching between them in LyteBox should reveal what I did.

Did I say it would be quicker to show than describe? well, I sure got that wrong
(but I learnt a heck of a lot)

You got both of the items I noticed, Dave.

A perfect diversion from a text full of landscapes, I can just see the hesitation as viewers scan through your collection.
