    The Last Rays

Up on the tops again last Wednesday chasing birds but as the sun went down, I managed these two.

P.S. The first one seems to have uploaded as a rather large image. I know not why and so both are best viewed in light box.

These are both good, but I particularly like the lighting in #1. The coppery colour in the background hills matches the leaf litter in the left foreground.

I was reading your narrative and can only see a part of it for a while and what touched me were the green leaves of the pine like as if they were floating. The whole scene is perfectly composed. I particularly like this #1 scene. Both are beautiful...

    Re: The Last Rays

Thank you Binnur. I was tempted by a Pano and it would certainly work but I have tried to capture the "largeness" (for the want of a better word) of the scene. What I will do if the condition are right, is to make a multi exposure Pano of the whole coastline. Give n the weather at the moment, I may have to wait for that.

    Re: The Last Rays

Thanks Gary. My favourite too. The second is a shot I have tried several times and never quite captured how I saw it. Next time.
