Wine: White Pinot Noir -- Take 2 (NOT what you would expect)

I posted my first image of this bottle of white Pinot Noir in another thread along with the explanation that at least 99% of all Pinot Noir is red wine. I wasn't particularly happy with that image for the reasons explained there. The major reason was that my first image doesn't display anything conveying our expectation that Pinot Noir will almost always be red wine. Hopefully the image below solves that problem and adds a bit of humor to your day.

A serious photo of the white Pinot Noir more in keeping with my typical style will be coming soon.

    Setup
The tabletop and background are a single sheet of translucent vellum. A small continuous-light lamp positioned on the left rear lights that side of the background, which then reflects the light toward the wine bottle and defines the edges of its transparent glass in dark tones. A medium continuous-light lamp positioned immediately to the right of the camera lights the rest of the overall scene. A flashlight on the right side lights the grapes. A flashlight on the front left side lights the portion of the label indicating that the wine is white Pinot Noir. A white reflector on the left brightens that side of the label.

Cool concept, might not be obvious if not for the explanation, however if your audience are mostly wine experts they'll surely get it. As shown I'd probably think this was an ice wine.

I agree that the image definitely needs an explanation for anybody who doesn't automatically know that Pinot Noir is typically a red wine.

You just gave me a great idea without even trying. Thanks!

Fabulous image and humour. Usual high standers and I expect nothing else.

I think the half-painted grapes plus the name White Pinot Noir should be clear enough for most people. Very clever, Mike, and very well-executed.

I'd use a more sophisticated brush...the cheap hobby brush cheapens the wine.

Good image. I keep thinking of using whipped cream. You've something to eat after the shoot.

If you're asking whether it was good, bad or indifferent, I haven't tasted it yet.
