Lines and Shapes on Highway 120

This is an image that's simply about patterns.

As I was driving along Highway 120 in Yosemite, I happened to look in the rear view mirror (I do now and again!). I saw this amazing pattern of shadows on the road. So I drove on until I could turn around, then went back, parked up and set up the camera.

I know it's a 'different' sort of image, but it was far too good to miss and I like the lines and shapes in the image.

    Your critique will be welcomed.

Great eye and great post-processing that brings out such interesting lines! Interestingly, though one of your previous images is interesting because the road in it is so straight, this image is interesting because of the not-so-distant curve in the road.

I just wonder about reducing the top by a fraction?

That would place the 'end of the road' slightly closer to the frame edge and make the road appear longer. But a side crop would be necessary to keep the image ratio, however I suspect a balancing amount could come from the left side.

    Nicely conceived and captured.
