Stained Glass: much more of a challenge
The great windows of Gloucester Cathedral and Tewkesbury Abbey were a piece of cake in comparison with trying to photograph some of the smaller and more modern windows. This is my attempt at the The Vivid Glass by Tom Denny, installed in 1992 in the South Ambulatory Chapel in Gloucester Cathedral. The lighting in the chapel was very uneven and was not helped by two spotlights facing inwards. The windows comprise a triptych which I attempted to photograph in five sections, stitching them together with Autopano. This did a fairly good job, but could not help with the uneven lighting. I had to resort to increasing the brightness of one layer and then masking and merging.

There are better pictures of this out there on the web, but I get the impression that they had the resources of a professional, such as getting the spotlights turned off, and being able to use a tripod!
Comments on how I could I have improved my post-processing welcome.
