    Spotlighted mountains

I was reviewing some of my old photos on a rather crappy, rainy day (what else is there to do?). Here is one that I've liked since I clicked the shutter from my truck window. This is near Warner Wetlands in SE Oregon. Taken in 2011 while on a duck hunting trip. Absolutely beautiful high desert terrain. Add a foreboding sky and dramatic lighting in the late afternoon and here you have it.

Thanks everyone. Right place at the right time, I guess. IMO, this isn't bad considering it was shot with a P&S in jpeg format.

Nice picture, good light; if it was my picture I'd reduce half green part of FG to get a 16 x 9 format.

Yet another example that photography is all about light. You can't make these things happen. Nice capture.

Maybe crop 50mm off bottom. The lighting is superb.

Izzie, although I liked the composition of the shot overall, I wasn't that good at post processing and the results weren't anything to brag about. I have since gotten better at extracting what is there in a way that I remember it looking through my lens. I always strive to not overprocess an image and to make it look as I remember seeing it in person. Thanks for the compliments, all.

Lovely image... I saw a vista somewhat like this in Oregon during a trip there many years ago. Unfortunately I didn't shoot it and the image remains only in my mind!
