A series of images of a pair of robins, which nested in my garden over the summer.

Nice series, 3 and 4 are very well exposed, I'd try to bring out the details in the first and second; mainly in the shadowy nest.

    Thanks Nandakumar.
On #1 and #2 in PS I decreased the shadow slider on the nest area and done some noise reduction also.
That made a difference, thanks John.

Lovely images. Two and three are the standout images for me.

Awwwwwwwwwwww.......so cute!!! Nothing to say, just to admire your shots. No need for story here as it tells its own.

    Re: Robin's nest

    Good series Gary, great details.

I am surprised, with the opening is that large on the nest box, that a predator doesn't get in and take the chicks, but that seems not to have happened thankfully.

I don't know why, but I keep expecting to see a shot of Robin/Blackpearl's house when I open this thread

I see they were shot in April, which explains one mystery.

    Cheers, Dave

That's a really nice series. The story in 1 & 2 well captured (can't have been easy).

Thanks Dave, the nest box is about 5 feet off the ground and surrounded by a wild rose bush, so pretty much cat proof.
Robins Nest was a 70s sit com, not sure who or what Robin/blackpearl house is

Cheers John, with #1 & #2 this was the only angle from which I could take the photos, due to the wild rose bush surround the nest box. The good thing is I could get very close as the birds were not disturbed by my presence.

Blackpearl is a member here whose name is Robin!

Robins Nest was a 70s sit com
That'll be why the phrase sounded so familiar

That series tells a story, unusual entry hole to the nest box. Robins usually use a half fronted box (when available and suitable) so this unusual style obviously suits the pair

Thanks Peter, the nest box has laid empty for 4 years until the Robins nested this year.

Thanks for putting me right on the name.
It was a pretty poor sit com if memory serves me right
