Some Nice News

I've sold the image below a number of times in northern California galleries but I was recently contacted by a Yellow Page (telephone directory) company who wanted to know if they could use it for the cover shot on a directory. I ended up licensing it for the cover of a directory that will be distributed (134,000 copies) in three northern California counties. The counties (Shasta, Trinity and Siskiyou) are familiar with Mt. Shasta as a landmark. Not only will I earn a bit of money but the exposure won't hurt..they give photo credits.

Yes....I shot the goose on a snag in a location with a most uninteresting background. I lifted the goose and snag and relocated it to some shots I took on the ranch I grew up on....a location about a mile from where I shot the goose.

The goose was going to get 50% but when it started hanging out with a strange crowd and had the operation, the contract became void.

No, I shot it with my 400mm Canon so there wasn't much left.
