I've been spotting these little (sit on your thumbnail) frogs for the last week.

Technically this is excellent Brian, but...................you have missed focus on the eyes

    How are you focusing?

Poorly. My trouble with this was that he left after 2 shots. Any suggestions on getting the eyes in focus? Perhaps if I had lowered the f.p. a bit but I think the heads bright area would still have stolen the focus?

I know the problem but today I had a moth that posed for fifty odd shots but I'm not finding many keepers

I would have thought it would have AFd ok on the eye due to the major colour/contrast edge.

The other options are manual movement of focus or possibly live view?
