BIF - Snow Birds -2
Our first weekend in Toronto was the last weekend of the Toronto Exhibition and it was brought to a close by an air display. The Snow Birds, the Canadian Air Force display team, featured prominently. We didn't fight the crowds at the exhibition site but we happened to be on a boat on the lake when the Snow Birds did their bit. A 200mm lens was never going to get me close enough for detailed shots of aircraft taking part but I quite liked the shape of the contrails being made in this manoeuvre. There are seven aircraft in the team but this was taken just after the two singletons had broken off to do their solo display hence the -2. The colour version is a bit washed out due to the hazy conditions and so a mono seemed the best bet particularly because it shows off the luminance in the contrails.
Fuji X plus 55-200mm lens.
