    Dual monitors in lightroom

Recently I had to upgrade my Vista desktoip computer as it was starting to fail, with a new one running Windows 10. As a result I ended up with two almost similar Dell monitors which I have connected to my new computer.

This allows me in Lightroom to have one showing the grid of photos in library mode while the other views a photo in loupe mode. I intend to use dual monitors in Photoshop once I work how to do it.

The question now is how can I calibrate the second monitor to reflect the same brightness, contrast. colour etc.
I have calibrated the new monitor on the new computer with a Spyder Pro, while the old monitor was calibrated in similar condition with the old computer.

Is my only option to manually change monitor 2 to visually reflect what I am seeing on monitor 1, or is there some other way around.

Why not start by taking a reading on both monitors of the same image? That should be your starting point, if the values between the two monitors are within the range that a human can detect then you should be well on your way.

Thanks, didn't realize that I could calibrate dual monitors at the same time.

I would never have thought of using dual monitors for Lightroom. I can see the advantage now.

Do you need your thumbnails to be colour calibrated?

I guess if the monitors are calibrated then the images and thumbnails will be calibrated.
